薛佑廷（Yuting Hsueh）為動畫導演、新媒體藝術家與教師，其創作橫跨電腦動畫與新媒體藝術。現任國立臺北藝術大學動畫學系專任助理教授，並於芝加哥哥倫比亞藝術學院取得美國藝術創作最高學位MFA(2002-2007)。

薛佑廷的作品屢獲國際肯定，包括榮獲比佛利山影展最佳動畫獎、世界動畫大會最佳實驗動畫獎與台北電影獎最佳動畫獎。其動畫短片《撞擊測試Crash Testing》《風箏The Wayward Kite》以及沉浸式裝置《米龍Rice Dragon 360》《艾索羅夫星人展Asomrof in Bacta Tank》《觀音Guanyin》，曾獲邀於奧地利林茲電子藝術節（Ars Electronica Festival）、義大利米蘭MEET數位文化中心、美國拉斯維加斯CES消費性電子展、芝加哥國際影展、洛杉磯國際短片影展及墨爾本國際影展等重要國際展演場域與奧斯卡認可(Oscar® Qualifying)的影展。

除創作成就外，薛佑廷亦擔任關渡國際動畫節協同策展人，多次受邀擔任各大台灣的國際影展與競賽評審，並出任政府機關評選委員，同時積極參與動畫相關公共與專業服務。他的跨領域實踐持續連結台灣動畫教育、國際影展與新興XR科技藝術。

Yuting Hsueh (薛佑廷) is an award-winning animation director, new-media artist, and teacher whose work spans computer animation, and new media art. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Animation at Taipei National University of the Arts and holds an MFA, the highest creative arts degree in the United States, from Columbia College Chicago (2002–2007).

Hsueh’s films have received numerous honors, including Best Animation at the Beverly Hills Film Festival, Best Experimental at the World Animation Celebration, and Best Animation at the Taipei Film Awards. His acclaimed shorts "Crash Testing" and "The Wayward Kite", alongside immersive installations "Rice Dragon 360", "Asomrof in Bacta Tank", and "Guanyin", have been showcased at Ars Electronica Festival in Linz, MEET Digital Culture Center in Milan, CES Las Vegas, and numerous Oscar®-qualifying festivals such as the Chicago International Film Festival, L.A. Shorts International Film Festival, and Melbourne International Film Festival. 

Beyond his creative achievements, Hsueh is also an executive curator for the Kuandu International Animation Festival, has served a juror for numerous international film festivals and competitions in Taiwan, and as a review committee member for government agencies, while actively engaging in public and professional service within the field of animation. His interdisciplinary practice bridges Taiwan’s animation education, international festivals, and emerging XR technologies.
