"The Wayward Kite" Official Selection at CARTÓN

The official selection list of Cartón 2018

Thrilled to share that "The Wayward Kite" is official selection at CARTÓN, an international animation festival celebrating its 8th edition in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Sep 4th-9th, 2018.

CARTÓN festival was born in 2011 with the sponsorship by Carlos Loiseau, the prolific Argentine cartoonist and humorist. CARTÓN now is the biggest stage of the independent world animation with international film screening, competition, workshops, work in progress, teleconferences, talks and comic fair every year.

The jury members of 2018 CARTÓN festival are Mayra Buxareo, Hernán Moyano, Sol Rietti, Patricio Plaza, Alejandro R. González,and Agustín Premat.

"The Wayward Kite" is 8 min animated short film written and directed by Taiwan's faculty filmmaker, Yuting Hsueh, about a little kite running away in its own odyssey of self-discovery. The film has been selected at 17 film festivals all over the world, including United States, Australia, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Greece, Ireland, Taiwan, and, Argentina, winning the Best Experimental at WAC 2017, Best Animation at 2018 Beverly Hills Film Festival, and Silver Remi Award at the 51st WorldFest-Houston International Film & Video Festival.
