"Thunder Lannyang" is a super 16mm documentary short film written & directed by Yuting Hsueh in 2004, depicts land, history & a master of traditional Taiwanese opera.
The film entered 2nd Phase finalist from Region II at Student Academy Award in 2004 and was officially screened at the 54th Melbourne International Film Festival, the 23rd Montreal International Festival of Films on Art, the 23rd San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival, Bangkok International Film Festival, and many other international film festivals in 2005. 《聲震蘭陽》入選2005年加拿大第23屆蒙特婁國際藝術影展(FIFA)。 該片藉由土地、大事紀、戲曲、與人物，介紹台灣戲曲音樂大師 - 漢陽北管劇團創辦人莊進才的故事。 本作品曾入圍美國學生奧斯卡中西部地區決選，並於2005年間獲展於第54屆墨爾本國際影展、第23屆蒙特婁國際藝術影展、第23屆舊金山亞裔國際影展、2005曼谷國際影展等許多國際影展，並於2011年與《Let It Be 無米樂》等多部台灣作品獲邀於「台灣紀錄片英國校園巡迴展Taiwan DocFest UK」。
《聲震蘭陽》是一部以超16毫米底片、電影燈光與收音規格所拍攝完成的紀錄短片，片長16分鐘。 導演薛佑廷於2004年就讀芝加哥哥倫藝術學院(Columbia College Chicago)期間回台拍攝完成；其主要工作人員為攝影Jose L. Rios；現場收音 Michael McGrath；聲音設計 Ed Rodeghier；配樂 莊進才；燈助 陳博文；攝助 覃敏怡；執行製作 劉華玲、廖弘欣；製作人 楊雅惠；編劇、導演 薛佑廷。
